Well Islanders, I have had some ups & downs the first month but overall not bad.

NFL Playoffs: 65% (13-7)
CFB: 61.5% (8-4-1)
CBB: 51.5% (34-31-1)
NBA: 56.7% (21-16)

Now I don't play all my plays at 1u, or 5u. I dont post units because I feel that is your own decision. However just for simple math, if I played all these at:

1u = +1,200
3u = +3,660
5u = +6,100

My true monthly figure is around the 3u total. I may start posting units but havent decided yet. I still think thats a personal decision.

Sportsbook.com sort of dilemma

Hey guys... So here's the deal

My buddy cashed a check out from sportsbook.com for $1395 and just received the check after like 2-3 months of waiting...

Well he doesn't want it to bounce and is offering to sell it to me for $1000

Does anyone have any experience with sportsbook.com and their payouts lately?

I would love to jump on the opportunity to make the easiest $395 of my life but I'm risking a grand

Can anyone provide any insight to this?

Hey guys I was referred to this site by c enger and just wanted to say hello. Good stuff! Like what iv seen so far. Iv always been a casual better, but this my first year of really getting after it. Pretty big into fantasy football and so for the must part iv been betting on nfl, but starting to bet on other things as well. Anyways look forward to your guys posts.

I decided to do this a while ago, and have been putting it off. I think it will be a fun way to give recognition where it is due and otherwise goes unnoticed.

The inaugural "broski of the week" is Jordan.

He is in TJs thread every single day providing good vibes and good karma, and for everyone who is superstitious (like me) you might think he is psychologically aiding in teddy's sick ncaabb season. I appreciate all of you wishing me good luck and I try to do the same. Its part of the environment of the island and its why this is the best forum on the web. Jordan is the epitome of the support network that makes the island so great.

Casino Games at JustBet

Has anyone played anything?

Ive been playing pai gow a lot, and its pretty fair. Most online books seem extremely rigged, but JustBet seems to be like an actual casino. I wouldnt recommend playing for a lot of money, but ive been playing dollar hands just to pass some time. Pai gow is my favorite casino game since you push a lot and dont lose much money haha.

If you have any games you like in the JB casino id love to hear about them, I also wish they had poker so we could set up a CI tournament online

Tax Issues

I was just wondering if any one has ever had an issue with the IRS or any government agency when it came to taxes on winnings. I wager online, and am aware that it is technically illegal, although widely known to exist. My question is, if I am cashing out (make) say $3,000 on a monthly basis, I am basically not paying taxes on $36,000 of income. I get bank wires and checks from these online sportsbooks signed by "technology companies." If there was ever an investigation as to why I get monthly checks from this company in Canada or wherever, aren't I basically screwed?

The issue is not that I am worried about being caught sports betting, its about the taxes and how if I ever made consistent money over a prolonged period of time (profit of 100,000+), there would be a trail of payments, checks, bank wire's, ect. that would be unexplainable.

Handicapping Services

Does anyone use any handicapping service that they would recommend? Not looking for anything expensive as I do fine following threads, doing my own research ect. but I was looking at inexpensive subscriptions like atsdatabase.com and was wondering if it was worth it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Actually that is my twitter handle; as you can see I try not to take my self too seriously. I love gambling, love it love it love it love it, and increasingly sports betting is become my favorite. However, I am not as good as I would like. And, I have decided, I like winning more than losing.

I will try to give my input to every game where i can but most of the time i will be looking to take more advice than i give!

DroppinDimes, better known as Chris. I'm a big time hockey nut and the Sabres are my team. I live in Rochester NY, right in between Buffalo and Syracuse. The sports in this city are great as we have the Rochester Americans (AHL) Rochester Red Wings in triple A ball, Rochester Rhinos in soccer, WNY Flash in womans soccer, Rochester Rattlers for outdoor lacrosse, Rochester Knighthawks for indoor lacrosse and RIT Hockey for NCAA who went to the national championship game 2 years ago where they lost....finished second in the country after jumping from D2 to D1 two years ago. I'm more of a casino type of gambler, but have taken akin to the sports betting over the last 3-4 years. College football and NHL are my stronger suits. Gonna post a few pics cause I want to be loved too dammit!!! Just let me finish by saying that Cappers Island is by far the best forum I have been on. I haven't seen any trolls or shit talkers since I've been here. All the mods do a great job.
