Open Letter to Cappers Island members

Hey All,

I hope everyone is doing well this summer.

I wanted to take a moment to address the status of the website now, and moving forward. I know that the website lacks proper moderation during the summer months. I want to thank the "locals" of the island for manning the ship and keeping things running smoothly around here. Its one of the things that makes the Island a great place. I don't think there are many forums online that can run as smooth as this one with out any conflict. We have a great group of like minded people here.

Moving forward I plan on being entirely more active and working towards the things that I've promised to you guys over time. I know we could really benefit from a scoreboard, live odds, and other tools and will help our cause. I've made promises in the past and have not coming through on and for that I apologize. I truly want Cappers Island to be the most well respected online sports handicapping forum. I know that we are small, but our value is within our members. We have some of the most knowledgeable sports handicappers that I've ever been around on this website. The atmosphere is one of a kind. It would not be like this if it was not for the contributions of each of you.

Within the next few months leading up to football we plan on implementing the things that we've discussed as a forum in the past. We are working to make this website as good as we possibly can for you guys. We are going to be working on adding more valuable members to the already well established member base that we have. In our efforts to bring more members to the website we plan on maintaining the same moral code of ethics that has always been enforced on this website since day one. No bashers, touts, post whores, etc.. We know the quality of member that we want around here.

Eazzy and I will be the only administrators of the website moving forward. There is no reason to have many more admins or mods when we have an excellent self moderating member base. However, we will be looking for one additional moderator to bring on during football. If you feel this is something that you would like to do we encourage you to PM us. We would be looking for somebody who is active year round - something that I as an admin have failed to do.

Feel free to reach out to us with suggestions as we work to make the Island a better and more enjoyable place. I want to give a quick shout out to the guys who held it down during NBA and continuing to hold it down during baseball. Big props Blake, tron, VicVega, Kenize, and TTR.. you guys are doing great keeping things moving and getting some of the newer guys involved. Play2win you are active and doing a great job as always. Flopartist I appreciate your activity and your contributions to the board. Every single guy that is contributing.. big props.

I also want to send a "thank you" to all of you who have been posting during MLB and NBA. I know I haven't been on as much, but I look forward to hearing about any ideas/suggestions for the site. Moving forward with the island we all have the same goals.. Make money... All new site improvements will be geared towards making everyone a better capper. I look forward to hearing from all of you about lending a hand moderating for this upcoming football season.
