A unit is simply a way to measure wins and losses. It can also show that maybe you like one game more than another. Examples.

A unit could mean $100, so 1 unit is $100, 2 units is $200, etc. or it coule mean $10 or $30. It is whatever you want it to be. One of the reason for using units as a way of mearuing is that eveyone may wager different dollar amounts every game. By doing it that way it you are able to compare everyone equally.

Also, some people may say that all of my wagers are 1 unit except occassionnaly they like one particular game a lot more than the others and say that they are going to make that game a 2 unit wager

Hope I have not confused you more

RE: Hello everyone
Thanks Vic, he is spot on.

For me, it represents strength of play.

I am typically a flat bettor - which means i bet 90% of my bets for the same amount regardless of being up or down. *3 for me a standard flat bet.

*4 would be a little more, and *5 would be the most I wager on a game.

For people who are new to gambling I strongly encourage flat betting and I think most guys here would agree with me.

As for how much - I don't think anybody can tell you that.

Someones flat bet may be $30 while another persons may be $1,000 or more. It just depends on what you are comfortable with. I know we have guys on this site from all ends of the betting spectrum in terms of dollar amounts. There is no shame in starting with $20 or $30 a game if you are new to sports betting or are not comfortable losing more. I would never bet more then you can afford to lose. There are some really good guys on here but everyone has bad weeks.

And all I do is win, my pockets look like jackpots

Thanks Vic and jawnny cash. I understand now. Wasn't confusing one bit. I watched the videos jawnny and meazzy post and u guys were referring to units. That's y I asked and everyone seems to post *number. But I got it now. That's for the info. Still gotta learn alot from everyone here. :-) yea I know what u mean, only bet what u can afford to lose. Number 1 rule in gambling. Haha.
