An interesting topic, perhaps?
Do athletes care that gamblers are getting their fix, while they perform? Do they wish they could get in on the action? Are they already doing so, anyway? sun |

I never really thought about it. I know a lot of guys that play in college (Arkansas, northwestern, mo state) and none of them ever really talk about it, so I would assume they dont

I would assume some coaches use it as motivational tactic. I know I would. All I have to say is Pete Rose...yes the man bet on sports but I do believe he should be in the hall...What he did as a player shouldnt be over looked.

Agree, plus he never bet against him self, so it was not like he ever threw a game; the whole reason for the rule. When he bet on a game he was involved in, he always bet on himself. |

Yea head coach in NFL admitted to it by accident just the other day that he used it for a tactic to pump up his players when they were -8 dogs. ( Chicago )

Shit we do it in high school football. The local paper sets point spreads for each game and if telling someone they are -45 pt underdogs is not some kind of motivation I don't know what is
